Xidian University opened a research institute in Hangzhou (abbreviated as: Xidian Hangzhou Research Institute) to actively break the traditional discipline organization model of universities, take the Yangtze River Delta advanced manufacturing cluster as a guide, and accelerate the transformation of industry, academia and research. Not long ago, this team, together with the 5th Academy of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation and other units, jointly developed a "computational polarization 3D imaging camera" in space 500 kilometers away from the earth, enabling my country to achieve real-time passive 3D imaging of satellite-borne targets on the earth for the first time. It took the research team of Xidian Hangzhou Research Institute only more than three years to move this scientific research achievement from the laboratory to the production line.

From Xi'an to Hangzhou, Xidian Hangzhou Research Institute has established six research institutes including the Advanced Vision Institute and the Satellite Internet Institute based on the characteristic industrial clusters of the Yangtze River Delta. At the same time, it has cooperated with leading industry companies and advantageous scientific research institutes in the eastern region, and has signed 27 joint laboratories (innovation centers) with companies in three years.

The "Joint Innovation Center for Advanced Protection Technology for New Power Systems" jointly built with T-Breaker is one of them.

In November 2023, the Innovation Center was officially unveiled and established. It plans to invest tens of millions of yuan in cooperation funds in three years to introduce talents and tackle key core technologies, hoping to build it into an outstanding demonstration base for industry-education integration.

In the first half of the year, T-Breaker conducted short-circuit disconnection tests on smart fuses for electric vehicles in low-inductance environments, and has achieved a minimum inductance test capability of 1.7uH, breaking through the current best domestic level and leading the world: this progress overcomes the testing difficulties of new energy vehicles in low-inductance and low-time constant environments, and provides a more accurate means of evaluating the safety performance of new energy vehicles. T-Breaker's innovation lies in getting rid of its dependence on large-capacity power grids, using supercapacitors and large-capacity solid-state switches as new test solutions to solve the testing difficulties under high-power requirements, providing strong support for vehicle safety assessment.

After years of independent research and development, T-Breaker has established the first innovative energy high-voltage DC laboratory in China, creating high-voltage DC relay test platforms, high-voltage DC fuse disconnection test platforms, DC protection device characteristic test platforms, etc. Its high-quality and efficient services have greatly shortened the new product development cycle of related companies.
